Dennis Manning, CJF
Dennis is a full-time blacksmith, horseshoer. With over thirty-two years of experiences Dennis has contributed greatly to the farrier profession. This has included several years on the American Farrier Association (AFA) Board as a Chapter president, four years representing the AFA in international horseshoeing competitions, twenty five years as a certification examiner, including seventeen years as chair of that committee. He considers it an honor to be a clinician, judge, and an examiner throughout the US and Canada and to have been presented with most of the achievement awards offered by the AFA. We are greatly honored to have such a knowledgeable clinician and judge at this year’s Clinic and Contest.
Jacob Manning, CJF
Jacob is a fifth generation farrier and blacksmith. Not only is Jacob maintaining a profitable business at home he also competes in some of the country’s top ranked contests. Jacob recently won the High Point awards at the Northern California Classic in Placerville, Calif., and the 26th Annual Four Corners Contest at Castle Rock, Colo., where he faced off against competitors from around the U.S. and Canada. His win of the upper division High Point championship in Colorado was a second-generation triumph following his father, Dennis, who won the same championship nearly 20 years earlier. The four Corners Clinic and Contest is proud to have Jacob as one of this year’s clinicians and judges.

Mike Savoldi
Michael Savoldi retired after 30 years as the Resident Farrier at the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center and professor of Farrier Science, Animal & Veterinarian Science. California State Polytechnic University Pomona, CA, Chairperson of the American Farrier’s Association Equine Research Committee (2000-2006), American Farrier’s Association educator of the year 2005, as an educator, farrier, and researcher with California Polytechnic University. Michael has developed concepts that have changed the minds of many farrier’s and veterinarians. He is an internationally known author, researcher, and lecturer on the international circuit. Currently he is the director of the Equine Research Center in Shandon CA.

Neil Miller
Neil Miller, Brighton, CO brings more than 35 years of horseshoeing experience to his clinics. Neil began his horseshoeing career in the United States Army in 1975. During his career Neil has worked with many breeds but has worked primarily with show horses, specializing in top reining horses. Neil has dedicated himself to maintaining the soundness of the performance horse.
